Who we are
About Me
Hey, I’m the maker behind DuskWoodPNW — a custom woodworking studio rooted in the beauty of the Pacific Northwest. My journey here wasn’t a straight line. I started with a deep love for creating, which led me from 3D printing to working as a porcelain additive manufacturing engineer, to experimenting with CNC machines — and eventually, to building truly one-of-a-kind furniture in my own small shop.
I’m entirely self-taught, driven by curiosity and a lifelong ambition to create meaningful things for others. Wood has always called to me — its texture, its weight, the way every piece tells a story. With DuskWoodPNW, I get to honor that material while bringing people’s ideas to life through custom design and craftsmanship.
Design Philosophy
My style sits somewhere between funky and organic to clean and minimal. I love bold character as much as I love restraint — it all depends on the project and the story we’re telling through the wood.
I draw inspiration from masterful craftspeople like BlackTail Studios, Four Eyes Furniture, and George Nakashima. Like them, I believe in the power of simplicity, honest materials, and letting the natural beauty of wood lead the way.
Sourcing & Sustainability
Every piece starts with the right wood. I work with locally and sustainably sourced lumber, and ethical sourcing is always a top priority. Whether it’s a slab with a wild live edge or clean modern boards, I aim to preserve the character of the tree and build pieces that last for generations — furniture that respects both craft and nature.
The Custom Process
Most clients reach out through Instagram, email, or my website. I offer design consultations once a custom submission form is filled out, and from there, the process is as collaborative as you want it to be. Some clients come in with a clear vision, others want guidance — either way, my goal is to make something that feels exactly right.
Custom builds vary in turnaround time depending on size and complexity.
What DuskWoodPNW Stands For
Whether it’s a one-of-a-kind table or a handcrafted decor piece, I want every piece I make to feel personal, real, and lasting. For premade products, I want the craftsmanship and the beauty of the wood to speak for itself. For custom work, I want you to feel like your vision was fully brought to life.
At the heart of it all is my love for growth — in skill, in design, in the challenge of making something better every time. There’s freedom in this craft, and purpose in shaping something that will live with people for years to come.
The name “DuskWoodPNW” comes from a long thread that started with a simple spark — a childhood moment of inspiration tied to the Wendy’s founder, then 20 years later, the idea of the Duskwood Tree. It became a symbol of preservation and resilience. Of not letting beautiful resources go to waste. That’s what I’m building here: functional art made with care, from wood that deserves to be remembered.
